Still, broken ribs just take as long as they take to heal and there's not a thing you can do about it, so all the best and good luck with that. As for the bike, get it out of sight for a bit if it helps

I`m getting around much better. Taking shorter rides on my 1985 Schwinn Passage. Great bike, but at my age I find it terribly uncomfortable. I still can`t sleep on my side. I`ve never slept on my back , so I have not been getting much sleep. Coughing or sneezing is still very painful. I actually have my Trek Verve in the shop. They think they can repair it. $500.00-$600.00 ! Still better than a new bike.
