Looking at the casing's path out of the chain stay's grommet then down to DR, path is nearly 180° down to the DR's cable stop. If the 240mm casing takes a smooth, even curve between these two points (which it should, given its character) casing cutting ought to be a pretty straightforward 90°. I'll note your suggestion though when I'm ready to make this happen.
