I used IGH bikes when I was young, serviced a hub when I was 12, took me quite a while to reassemble it. I've tended to avoid them now due to that. Not having low enough gears on my Speed 7, I finally added a 50/34 2X crank to it, wonders, that's how the TR should have come, IMO. Even wider 3X like on a Bike Friday would have been better, with a 10T high cog, but the fat seat tube on a Dahon prevents 3X without spacing the crank way out, and then the chainline is off and you drop chains, and you can only use square taper bottom brackets, and I love my hollowtech 2 copy. Fortunately, newer 2Xs get me almost as low.
