MicroShift has no reason to Lie about their products.
they only work correctly with Acolyte shifters.

Get a Shimano Altus RD-M 310 instead.
under $15 from Walmart, among Thousands of other outlets.
i run one of these on a hardtail MTB i abuse frequently...
i call them my "problem solver derailleur"...it works great where other derailleurs won't.
and they work brilliantly with the SL-M310 or M315 shifters. I install many of them in that combo as upgrades to Formerly Shimano Tourney equipped low end MTBs.

not sure of your cassette, but i run a 12-36 cassette on the afore mentioned Hardtail.. and a triple on the front.

the cage is short, and the rollers are large... this allows them a generous "wrap" rating.. shimano says 34 t max cassette and 43 wrap... i push that to 36 max and 44 wrap easily.

the cassette won't know the difference, but an alternative is to get the acolyte shifter to match their proprietary derailleur...
