Yes I can X them when they pop up but they have become constant, frequently one appears after X’ing one out. And the constant Animal alerts make no sense.

The
update history for your device shows NO changes to the alerts, which reinforces my belief that you haven't read the
manual, since it is very easy to turn off individual alerts (or all of them).
But again, even if you can't figure out how to turn off alerts, you'll never convince me that a tiny little popup at the bottom of your screen is a big deal.
