That's a different power supply than a kickr. Sounds like something is shorted inside the unit. I expect that the trainer circuitry is similar, because they only have a limited number of modules.
Thank you for the rapid response. Apparently enough of the KICKR BIKEs fail in this way that it's a "thing", in forums and on YouTube. The bike becomes unresponsive and the power supply lights up OK until plugged into the bike, then it blinks weakly.
I plan on opening up the unit as soon as I get a chance and getting some photos of the hardware. I assume the circuit is similar, but with added inputs and outputs for shifters, brakes, steering, and incline?
