I'm trying to keep it on topic!

I have taken this bag on a 3000 km, 2.5 month tour on the Kanaga/Tern rack. I have used it on many smaller tours, and used it daily in the same manner. Your statement is simply not accurate. A bag is only as rigid as its contents. If you know how to pack a bag, you know how to use it on a rack with tie downs.

As I say, Duragrouch could use a titanium brompton rack (240g) plus an ultralight bag like mine (340g) or an even lighter and full-waterproof drybag like this one (110g) and still have more capacity than the 7kg of the Vario/Kanga rack (i.e. 7.5kg). My total non-food and water touring weight for one week+ tours, fully-loaded (camping gear, etc.), is currently 8kg spread between a front and rear rack. And that includes the clothes I'm wearing and my shoes! 7kg on the front rack is more than enough!!! Honestly, I'm not sure you are speaking with any relevant experience here.

Are you speaking with any experience about this, or is it just a theory of yours? I've used both the Brompton block and the litepro. Have taken both heavily loaded off road, probably over weight, and used both to carry large amounts of shopping or equipment. Absolutely no difference.
you are confirming my words: this bag requires a rack mounted on the bike and the weight of this rack must be added to the weight of the bag while with a bag designed for the Brompton block, there is an internal frame that replaces the rack.

And yes, I have experience with it since I have a Brompton block and use a Brompton type bag (several types from the huge Radical Design Roltoptas, the biggest bag available for the Brompton block, to a small Ortlieb mini o-bag) on almost all my bikes, a Brompton Rohloff, a Birdy Titanium 3, a Birdy 3, a Moulton Speed, a Moulton Jubilee, a Tern GSD, a Tern Vektron S10 and now one Bike Friday All-Day (aimed at replacing the heavy Vektron S10).

I hate this solution with which the bag must be strapped on a rack, a bag with integrated frame is much easier to use. and if it has rear pockets, its even user friendly.

If you would really use daily a front bag like me, you would know that often the bag is heavy but not full because the items carried are small but heavy.
