There's only one way to do this: go sit upon and ride around some bikes that you're looking at. I recently bought a bike off CL, unseen, and had it delivered to my vacation area. It is a 54, which is my size. Unfortunately, it's running very small and is in need of significant adjustments to possibly make it fit correctly.
