Yup, I done and packed the tent and sleeping bag again. Tuesday and Wednesday I explored the D&H Rail Trail in northern Pennsylvania, north of Scranton. About half of it is an "Improved" trail that climbs 800 feet to the summit of Ararat Mountain. From there the trail is "unimproved" and it was rough for me. Loose rocks everywhere then grassy stretches then more loose rocks (bike bouncing all over the place) then steep down then steep back up then steep switchbacks (had to push the bike) then muddy stretches then repeat - over and over for 15 miles. I was completely worn out by 5:00. Found a place to pitch the tent and try to get some rest.

Up with the dawn, packed and repeated it all but in reverse. What joy when I reached that summit again and had a 20 mile down grade ride to the car. Yeah I had to pedal but it was "duck soup" compared to north of the summit. The bike took a beating but held up just fine. Tough machine. Took some time today to scrap the muck off. I'm glad I accomplished this ride but have NO need to do it again. Beautiful country up there though.

1995 Trek ZX7000, Cannondale bags (rear) and don't-know bags up front (Trek I think). Nice camp site.
