I just started using this grease made to stick to the metal. I need it for my IGH hub bearings to slow washout.
Divinol grease
I now avoid any and all chain lubes. Nothing lasts like what they come with.
Just lubed my 1973 CCM SA 3 speed, one piece crank, cup/cone pedals, and original front hub with 1/4" bearings.
Runs quiet as a mouse. Last Friday I rode it 100 miles, didn't get sore at all. Wind aided 13.2 mph avg. Week before did 90.5 miles.
This chain still not lubed after several century rides with over 1000 miles. Couple hundred puddle/ snow miles. My flaps are awesome.
Wow you just keep outdoing yourself in ridiculousness. What sort of soup do you eat that is solid like Phil Wood Grease (not their Bio-Lube or Tenacious Oil). Maybe a Shauder/Chowdah that has congealed in the fridge but a normal soup is not anywhere near that thick in the least and Phil Grease or even Park Grease is not soupy in the least. I think you might just be bad at lubrication or something. Maybe you store your Phil Lube on the dashboard of your car in Phoenix?
