girl I work with has breast cancer. Man, is she a sweetheart, full of life, positive energy, always happy, funny. In the past two weeks we’ve watched her body change from the radiation and listened to her talk about the misery she goes through.
I listen very closely because I know one day I’ll be going through the same thing. In my family we don’t have heart disease, we have cancer. Odds are, it’s going to get me.
It gets me down.
Other anxieties are pushing me down further.
So when I come here after being away for a long time and someone says I’m incredibly well respected and a big role model...well...
It makes my day.
