Something was wrong already, which is why it rotated when you tried to get the first bolt out. So if you want to still fix this rivnut, you'll need to clean up the threads with a tap.

If you have a dremel cutting disc but no tap, you can cut a slot the long way in a spare bolt and that will act like a tap. Otherwise, take the NVFlinch advice.
