On the Birdy its Presta valves, not Schrader, for Schwalbe SV = Presta, AV = Schrader. Schrader is like a car valve, diameter is bigger than for Presta, requires a bigger hole in the rim.

SV5A = Presta and size 5A is ETRTO355 for wider tires.
