Just tightened everything, and there's no play whatsoever in the crank set. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
In no particular order: Check pedals are screwed tight into the cranks. Check play in pedal bearings. Check bottom bracket is screwed tight into the frame. Check crank bolts are tight. Check chainring bolts are tight. Check for tight links in the chain, bent teeth on the chainring. Check for slack in rear hub bearings.
If all of that reveals nothing I would remove the pedals from the cranks and the cranks from the bottom bracket to check the cranks' threads and tapers. I had a hard-to-find clunk in my drivetrain, checked and tightened everything to no avail, thought it was a pedal bearing problem but then the NDS crank came loose while I was riding. I tightened it harder than I normally would a cheap aluminium crank and it's been OK since.
