Several of us rode from Waukesha, WI out to the state capitol (Madison) and back this weekend.
Saturday was
71 miles, as we added a loop around the capitol building downtown. {

Sunday was
65 miles, as we headed home from the hotel. {

It was hot and humid both days, with the heat index just over 100.
One guy did it on his fully-laden touring bike, albeit at 9 mph or so. The rest of us were going around 12 mph on the way out, where it was more uphill and into a cross/headwind, and 14 mph on the way back.
Yesterday, my legs were kind of cooked after the capitol ride, so I took the gravel eBike on the
35 mile club ride to keep the effort down and recover my legs a bit. {

I'm ahead of schedule for 800 km (497 mi) for June.
Tonight, it's going to rain out our easy club ride, which is a shame.
Tomorrow, I'll be at the Brewers game instead of the usual Wednesday night club ride.
I'll probably just do commuting Thursday night.
My wife was in a bad car accident Sunday, while I was riding back from Madison, WI. Someone blew the light and she T-boned him, totaling her car. He seems OK. Her hips seem a bit messed up. Dealing with the aftermath of that now. We're glad she's somewhat OK.
Here are some pix. See captions below them for details.
Here's what most of the ride looked like. About four trees were down across the trail, as high winds were prevailing.
Here's my buddy with his touring rig; a Bob Jackson of which he's quite proud. I wouldn't want to haul all that stuff and camp in the 90° temps, but more power to him!
At the WI state capitol, less our touring buddy, who was already at camp.
Two of us stopped and took a dip in a lake on the way back, it felt really good. I was smiling here because I (right) had just squeezed the water out of my chamois and it looked like my water broke.
