A few years ago they built a new aggregate facility near tracks along one of our more popular routes. They added this crossing and a mirror image of it a few hundred yards down. The angle makes them dangerous to cross on a good days, much less in the wet. I know of at least 7-8 people that have crashed on them.

A 2017 study by Ling, Cherry, and Dakal (Factors influencing single-bicycle crashes at skewed railroad grade crossings) published in Journal of Transport & Health had a very robust sample set of riders traversing skewed rail crossings - and in some cases FDGB.

From the conclusions: "Crash rates are reduced dramatically at approach angles greater than 30°, and (in our dataset), non-existent at angles greater than 60°." So if a rider crosses at about 45° or greater, and the rails aren't wet, they may be OK..
