i'm happy to have discovered this forum and all the experts i hope to learn from in the years to come. i ride a 1974 Dawes Galaxy that has been giving me problems, so went shopping and found a late '80's DeBernardi that i'm now trying to figure out now to assemble and ride. My previous bike has downtube shifters and an old Simplex derailleur, the new one has index shifters that i don't have figured out yet. i like to ride for workouts, which i get thanks to the many hills out here on Cape Cod. Funny, i thought this place was flat until i started riding my bike.
