To those who are wondering, what is going on in the above exchange: the OP is asking about drilling a hole in a bottom bracket shell. Not in the bottom bracket itself, despite the outlandishly bizarre wording used by the OP (and some other terminology-challenged posters), but in the BB shell. It is that tubular part of the frame, which holds the bottom bracket itself. I hope that clears things out (don't thank me).
