I guess you'll have to settle for looking funny.
If you really want to know how it fails, maybe save it for the indoor trainer. Otherwise, save it in an old box or just recycle the metal. Consider it a case of cheating death, or at least a few scrapes and a walk home.

I've seen people's pics of cracks at the corners of the hole for a tapered axle, but don't think I've seen one where the crack seems happy to run down the length of the crank arm. Are we taking bets on whether it will go all the way to the pedal hole??
