It's my understanding that you can use any Shimano lever's with any Shimano Calipers. Heck, there are some whom use Shimano Levers with other branded Calipers such as Magura and TRP. I'm considering using the Deore Lever's with my TRP Slate Calipers on my mountain bike to save money and increase braking power.
