When I worked at the bike shop, we used to change out the brakes for standard side or centerpulls. It had 40x48 chainrings, a little too low top gear for me. I sold it in 1975. I took that bike on my first bike camping trip in 1973, 80 miles each way from Putnam, CT to Mt. Monadnock, NH.

That bike today is literally worthless, it was very low-end, but it served me well as a teenager and sparked a lifelong love of cycling.

Thanks for the memories.
