There is no definite answer. Just suggestion and opinion. I'd recommend you buy a new helmet. That said, the last time I crashed and the only time I wound up in the ER, my helmet was 11 years old. Perhaps if I'd had a newer helmet I wouldn't have gotten a cracked skull and severe concussion. But maybe it will have made no difference what so ever.

So do what feels right for you.
