I bough these cranks last year and was washing the bike when I noticed these areas at the bottom of the crank arms. It almost looks like they both have cracks in the discolored area. I can get my finger nail to catch on the "crack" on the right crank. Is this normal for some Shimano crank arms? Is this where the hollow-tech cranks are joined together? Has anyone else seen anything like this?
