The LH lever should be operating the front brake, the RH, the rear. Oriented correctly, the front brake cable will route ahead of the head tube and straight down into the noodle. Size the housing so that it enters the lever and noodle straight. The noodle will be almost vertical in the front, almost parallel to the seat stays in the back.
You probably don't need a ferrule at the noodle; most noodles are designed to accept plain housing. If the ferrule can't be inserted into the noodle, remove it.
+1. I'd say if you just remove each cable at the lever and switch the cable/housing to the opposite sides, there is a good chance everything will work properly, proper cable lengths and no catching on the reflector. You might have to experiment with which cable goes in front of the other where they cross but easy to figure out. Give it a try before shortening anything, maybe a super simple solution.
