I get what you mean about the paint. I like the silver base. It has a nice metallic flake to it and has stood up well over time, but I could do without the red fade panels.

I threw some wheels on to give a better sense of the geometry. These are 25mm tires and no issues with clearance; could likely fit 27mm, but 30mm was a no-go at brake bridge. FWIW, wheelbase is 98cm, same as my De Rosa.
