I grew up with a slide rule as well - in fact I still have it. I can tell you grew up in those days too by the fact that you seem to think dyslexia is something that can be overcome by developing a skill; it can't.

I'm not saying I couldn't use a ruler, but I'd really struggle and I therefore can't see the point. It would definitely not be accurate for me.
