All I can suggest is watch EBay and the other sales-related sites. You can always ask for opinion and pictures. I got a really good set of Modelle 48 in 40/32 this way. One was Wolber and the other was Super Champion, both 27 x 1 ¼, I have them on my 1951 Rudge Aero Special. Not period but definitely vintage. Had I been the first owner and needed to replace rims, these are high on the list of what I would have wanted. They installed perfectly on the Raleigh Industries front hub, SA alloy rear hub, and with Sapim 2.0/1.8 spokes. not extremely light, but the hubs are not very light, and I saved about a pound total over the original steel spokes and rims. Besides the OEM rims were pretty rough, even for me.
