Five years earlier, in 1976, the Unicanitor black plastic saddles were ubiquitous on racing bikes. I raced on a Brooks Pro that I bought new for $8 from a shop that had no idea. They were $40+ even back then. My Brooks was well broken in, and in retrospect, probably my mileage limiter. Nobody made better, anatomically improved seats until SMP came along.

This is a 4 year old thread I'm responding to as I've been thinking of changing out the selle anatomica leather saddle on my 1982 Peugeot PXN 10. I love the saddle but it doesn't look quite right on the bike. I could go with a brooks pro but the one I have is hard as a rock and likely to stay that way.
Agree that unicantors are uniquely terrible saddles. Turbos are awesome. I raced them. Concor supercorsa and Rolls would be fine as well.

Just strap a spare sew-up under it!
