I dunno - I'm not fully onboard the Remco train.

Yes, he's had great results in the past and is a special rider - no doubt. Great TT - great 1 hour power, maybe the best,

I don't think he will ever beat Tadej/Jonas in any grand tour. He may, if everything goes perfectly, be able to beat Tadej/MVDP/Wout/Mads... in a one day classic (like the Olympics).

Lipo, who was not fully unleashed in this years TDF - essentially matched Remco's TDF performance from last year.

I'm still not happy with his early exit of this years TDF. I think he could have stuck around and helped his team. Now knowing what we know, where he knew he was leaving his team... makes it even more sketchy for me. As a poor result may have effected his upcoming contract.

And he is now the second highest paid rider in the peloton. Puts him right up there with Pogi - and he isn't right up there with Pogi on the road.

Good for him getting paid - I never hold that against anyone. Will he live up to it for the team? Yet to be seen.
