I wonder if the city or your local biking organization would be interested about hearing of this direct evidence that bike lanes beside parked cars are not safe. Obviously you are an experienced biker, and a safe one who was riding what you thought was a reasonable distance from the car doors, and the fact that you SILL got banged up speaks volumes about stupidly designed bike lanes.
