Have you really loaned a tire to someone so they could complete a ride?

I mean, I'm racking my brain, and can't recall ever doing that -- nor ever even hearing of someone doing that.

(Mind you, I'm not defending hookless rims. The last time I bought new wheels, one of my criteria was that the rims have hooks. But that wasn't so that I could borrow a tire from someone.)
