Yes Performance bike is likely an authorized Shimano Retailer and they are online only now however going to ebay you get this:
We couldn't find any stores with the name: Performance Bike Try searching for something else.
Selling online from your own website is much different from 3rd parties like ebay and amazon... There are plenty of legitimate online stores that are authorized to sell Shimano and you would do much better purchasing through them then going 3rd party heck some of them don't even have physical brick and mortar locations so you are avoiding the "evil bike shop" and purely buying from an only online seller and it could be possible that this seller is quite wealthy as well so you don't give money to a "poor"

I am a Shimano dealer and as part of being a Shimano dealer I had to sign documents saying I would not sell on third party websites in fact I did that with a lot of dealer agreements. So just because you see products labeled as Shimano on third party websites does NOT make them legitimate products and does not make the sellers of those products legitimate dealers and if they did sign that agreement they would be in VIOLATION of that agreement and Shimano would not send them product and probably would note it to other vendors as well.

Sorry to burst your bubble with the facts.
