There might be someone calling themselves a real bike shop but if they are selling say Shimano on a third party platform like ebay they are not an authorized dealer for Shimano and if they had a dealer agreement they are violating that dealer agreement. You would have no real recourse with Shimano and getting a return from ebay doesn't stop people from selling fakes and knockoffs and non-geniune product.
I can show you our biggest local bike shop (8 locations statewide) that has 846 Shimano items on their eBay store, as well as another local shop with hundreds I=of Shimano items on ebay, I guarantee you they are authorized Shimano dealers
