I paid $2400 CDN for my 1999 Trek 2300. The components are probably equivanlent to the 2004 bike except I have Rolf Wheels and Icon Fork/Stem. This was before Trek bought Bontranger.
$1600 CDN for a 2004 Carbon Fibre framed 2300 seems like a fairly good deal. 4,000 Km isnt too much.
My guess is that a new equivalent new bike would set you back $2500 CDN (after tax).
