I'm a happy and successful ebay purchaser for about 20 years, and have no reason to doubt the honesty of the folks I do business with on that platform. I also use local bike shops for stuff I know that they actually carry, but since it's so often a waste of time shopping locally, I use online bike shops (yes, real bike shops that sell online) and ebay when necessary especially for used parts. I avoid Amazon as much as I possibly can and never use them for bike stuff.
Legit and selling illegitimately are kind of at odds but glad you are happy.

I am saying there is a possibility of lying or selling fakes and knockoffs it is not uncommon at all on these third party platforms. There could also be some legit goods being sold, that is not an impossibility or unrealistic in any sense I have bought legitimate items on ebay in the past as well but I was not buying new parts and mainly again it was records and other things. If I am buying new I can just go to the website and buy through them and cut out ebay and better for everyone.
