Thanks, I do try to rinse off the belt when I can, but not having access to a hose (I live in a condo) makes it difficult. I rinse it down with my water bottle before my rides but it usually starts to squeal before the end of my ride.
Squirt water on it while you are riding. That will both quiet the belt and probably clean it better than just a spray since the belt will be working. I used to ride with somebody whose cleats squeaked badly. I would shoot water at his pedals and that quieted things down.
