It's a mixed bag. When I was in high school, the heirarchy was Campus > Clydes > Gazelles. I just bought my first pair of Pumas in a long, long time. On the other hand, I've never regretted passing up a pair of Pumas, but I've kicked myself repeatedly for saying no to the Jam Master J shelltoes, the EM Comp reissues and the Bob Marley sambas.

When I was in Berlin the summer before last, I was tickled to see that my old standby fencing sneakers had been reissued and now cost a fortune. Those shoes were dope.
