I am with ya! The lack of water bottle taste is a winner for me. sure it is not like glass.

It may be too late for the OP, but I recommend the insulated Chill model. I have at least 6 Podiums, 4 are the Chill version which I prefer. The Chill does keep the liquid cooler, I usually add ice as well. the Chill version is approx. 28mm taller than the standard Podium, for the same capacity (only had the 21oz nearby, to measure). Therefore, it is likely that the Podium Ice model is even taller. This matters on some frames, for clearance, especially full suspension MTB frames or small road frames with bags, etc.

Recently, I have removed this inner cap on my Podiums, which may be some sort of a filter for large elements. After I removed this cap, the flow is thinner, compared to the spray with this inner cap in place. I usually do not put my mouth on the valve – I just squeeze the bottle into my mouth. The bottle does not leak with the inner cap removed and the bottle in inverted (cap unlocked)

Tip 2: you can buy the rubber covers separately which makes it the Dirt model.
