Older "analog" bikes becoming worthless?
With the growing popularity of e-bikes and electronic shifting, doesn't seem like older "analog" bikes, even in mint condition are selling (at least in my area). A neighbor has an older LeMond Alpe D'Huez that he doesn't ride and was hardly ridden when he was riding. Granted it's very old (maybe 2002), but is like new, Reynolds 856 steel, all 105 (tho older 105 of course). And that beautiful metallic green paint.
I mentioned it to several riders I know who ride in a group and they mentioned it to others, but a grand total of 2 people looked at it, neither bought it. Keeping my old (2006) LeMond Reno, as I know it wouldn't bring but pennies, and it rides/functions like new. Have you noticed the same lack of interest in oldies but goodies in your area?
