Hello from Southwest Chicago Suburbs
Hey there. New to the forums but not new to biking. When I lived in Chicago, my cheap bike was my lifeline to work, school and fun. I didn't have a car, so I would mostly ride (or take CTA) to get where I needed to go and it was exhilarating to be flying past cars at a stand still and ripping up Milwaukee Ave on a busy Saturday night of fun.
Now that I'm in the burbs, I stil ride my bike to my train station for work, and I clock as many errand runs as I can on it. But I also get to just ride for fun, hitting up the trails in the greater Palos district most often, though I'm looking to ride the other extensive trails this beautiful NE IL area has to offer.
I've just recently acquired my pride and joy, a 1973 World Voyager from Schwinn--refurbished by the absolute gents at Working Bikes--and I've found a lot of helpful information on it, on bike maintenance, and other helpful things on this site. Looking forward to learning more, riding more, and continuing to be an advocate for bikes and their riders!
