Thanks for the input.. the one issue I have

Thanks for your honest input. Unlike so many others, I also appreciate that you actually reviewed the bike before commenting. I do agree that the seat may be an issue however, I did view multiple reviews and posts and it seems at my height that may not be a problem. We’ll see. I also agree that these bikes are not the quality of many U.S. made bikes however, as with a car, I understand that a Chevy clearly isn’t built as well as a Bentley, but my budget requires that at this time I’ll have to settle for a Chevy. I don’t plan any cross-country trips, or wild trail rides so, something that’s in my budget and will get me around will do.

Things may change if I really get into those stages but, at this stage the extra money cannot be justified.

What I do find is total BS is the statement that bike shops won’t service the bike “because of the potential liability”! That a line of cr*p. When I bring my car in to an independent car repair shop they aren’t worried about “the liability” because they didn’t sell the car. The honest answer is they won’t service them because they didn’t sell them and they want the sale. I checked on many of the parts used in these bikes and many are the same as in the bikes they sell. I discussed this with my local bike store and he provided me with a great answer to this issue, “if your’e a qualified bike mechanic you should be able to work on ALL bikes NOT just the bikes you sell.” He will be happy to service my bike “with the hope that his excellent service will encourage me to buy my next bike from him.” THAT’S how it should be and you can bet that’s exactly what will happen with my next bike.
