I looked up a thread I started 10 years ago. This pic was my first upload here, and shows my new hubmotor in a diamondback frame. Good old 2old asked "
Aluminum frame and no torque arm?". I got worried and moved the motor to a steel frame Trek, I think it was sound advice,
Still a lot of friendly folks.
The forum has also moved away from conversions. One can often get a better bike waiting for a clearance or a sale for less money than building, The Vitesse Flair for under $300 comes to mind, and in other forums folks are chuckling over their $1400 mid drives that Walmart gave them for $349. I am thinking most people should do the buy over a make decision.
