What are these "plastic" cable guides that were mentioned? Something like the black delrin jobs that were sometimes used on Peugeots (I had some on one Batavus, too) or something else?

Hi - they are an oddball critter . the frame has holes in top tube for reputed to be white plastic pop in clips .
Neve seen this set up on any other Carlton .
Have a 1960s photo somewhere showing them from a distance on a race frame of the time .
