Bikes: Surly Long Haul Trucker set up for commuting and loaded touring, old Sekine road frame converted to fixed-gear, various beaters and weird bikes, waiting on the frame for my Surly Big Dummy build

Sort of. Read:

The fenders are another hit, those are actually 3 26" Rear Raleigh fenders, sliced and diced to make make two fenders. The only thing I wanted was a set that almost dragged the ground, and with that mudflap it almost does. I have added a naked lady cut out of a beer can for the mud flap since pictures.
The humorous part about the fenders is that he has the rear fender with a nice mudflap just about touching the ground, but the front fender stops waaaaaay short of where even a normal fender would stop. This guy has it 100% backwards. The rear fender only has to make it to the level of the axle, but the front should go as low as you dare and have a big mudflap, because that's the one that gets your shoes and drivetrain all nasty when it's inadequate.

As for the double-sided drivetrain, it looks neat, but is not very practical from an engineering standpoint due to the threaded cogs used. There is no way to perfectly align the cogs on both sides of the hub with eachother. If you do get them aligned, I bet it's just a matter of time before riding hard either tightens one or loosens the other just a hair, and they are no longer in phase. When this happens, your chains will be slightly out of phase as well, and will bind up unless you have them loose enough. You could get it to work with lots of dicking around, but it's going to be more trouble than it's worth IMHO.

If you don't feel like coughing up the dough for tandem cranks and can get away with two right pedals (limiting you to eggbeaters, flat pedals, etc.) locktite will keep the pedal in there. Use the blue stuff. It sounds like a relative of the suicide hub, but all you're really fighting is gyroscopic precession.
