The strap wrench got it done. Crank bearings are very smooth, and don't feel gritty or worn at all. Crank bearings just seem to have a little excess drag when compared to my Felt BB30 BB bearings I replaced last month. I removed the screw, and backed the crank arm away, snugged up the clamp. Didn't really loose much drag.

This is a new (used) bike, I'm going to fix any obvious glaring issues and avoid sinking $$ into it until I'm convinced it's a keeper. Then at that point I will delve into the details of what I think need to be fixed, addressed, and improved. I'm going to leave the BB alone for now.

BTW... I still don't know what this BB configuration is? What is it? Is it just "HollowTech II?
