Two weeks ago did a 3 day trip starting on west side of Kilimanjaro and riding west down into the rift then back to Arusha. Saw eland, zebra, wildebeast, grants and thompsons gazelles,giraffee, impala, gerenuk, etc and 3 bull elephants 100m away. Gets harder and harder to see elephant outside of parks every year. What we saw was elephants from AMboseli park in Kenya coming out during the wet season.
