No, I'm not in a pinch. I'm actually installing the lockring, not removing it. And as I mentioned previously I did manage to tighten it to the proper torque by removing some minute amount of material from the QR adapter to provide more clearance for the lockring tool.

Meanwhile, the tool at the link looks questionable for this purpose. Only two pins, and they are rounded... I'm afraid it won't grab the splines reliably enough for 40 N*m.
