I had Marathon Winter Plus studded on the bike last winter. Pic is Grenadier Pond. It was a blast for about 4 days, then the ice became too bumpy after a melt/freeze. The studded tires were great on straight ice, but reality is it's mostly salted slush when you're riding on Toronto streets/bike lanes after a storm, and straight Marathons performed as well and rolled better. I'm not putting on the studded this year.
