Cotter pins are out but one of the crank arms won’t come off.

Hello everyone, I was stripping this old Dawes today that has a cottered crank. I removed the cotter pins but the drive side crank arm won’t come off. The left side did not want to come off either but I finally got it off with some banging and pulling. Am I missing something here? How do I get this crank arm off?

Other side. I unscrewed the adj. cup already and then screwed it back in thinking it would give me better leverage to pull on the other side
