I think $300 is a fair price also for the OP's market. One quick cheap thing it could use some new bar tape which would help a lot with curb appeal on the tires chain and freewheel some nicer stuff would be nice but one likely wouldn't get there money back when selling. It is a real nice looking bike and should likely sell fairly easy at $300 in NYC.
